Your professional scouting partners in Europe for US schools and European basketball teams.

The European Scouting Service is a union of scouts all over Europe. We are looking at young players at any level, who are interested in playing basketball at College or University. We also scout the International and the American schools in Europe.

We help you find the right player for your program.  We take a look at the players and we try to get as much information about them as we can. We use our contacts to the coaches over here and try to put together a resume including phone numbers, email address and their academic situation. We help the kids to get their paperwork together for the NCAA clearing house and to complete the requested tests, like SAT and Toefel.

Once a year we offer a camp where players get the chance to showcase their level of basketball skills. Schools are invited to join the tournament and to scout the players. This tournament is called European College Camp. It is held in Bonn, Germany.

All games will be live online to be watched all over the world. It´s not necessary any longer for coaches to come to Germany to see the players. But you are more than welcome to join us.

The tournament is not as big as the tournaments in the USA but the skill level is high. College and University coaches who came over to watch the tournament told us, that they were very impressed. Last year, we had 40 girls and 80 boys. In 2005 we had 35 girls and 8 of them have signed with a div 1 program. The MVP of the tournament 2005 had over 20 offers from NCAA div 1 schools and in 2008 she played with the WNBA team New York Liberty. The men’s tournament had 60 players. In 2003, the men’s MVP was recruited by the University at Buffalo, his name is Yassin Idbihi. After 3 games, he turned out to be a starter for his team. Meanwhile the school got their 3rd European player, coming out of our scouting service. In 2007  and 2008 + 2009 we also sent several players to NAIA schools as well as to Junior Colleges and Community Colleges and schools in Canada.

European players who decide to go to College or University are good students. They are independent and get their homework done in time. You won’t have any problems with them. As far as basketball they are used to practice hard and to play all year round. A good youth player plays on more than one team in Europe. They play different age groups and have learned to take responsibility as well as being a backup player on a high level men's team.  A European player practices 4 times a week and plays minimum two games per week. The season goes from September until the end of May. Therefore a European player can take a lot of pressure.

During the year, we will list all the players we scout and we will also have videos available for you. If you have interest in a player and you would like to have further information, you can send us what you have and we will work on getting a complete resume and a game tape. If you are planning on coming to Europe to scout certain players, we are happy to help you to put your schedule together.

If you would like to use our scouting service, please fill out the order form and send it  to us. If you need any references, please contact us.

Our next tournament will be from the 23rd  to the 25th of march 2012  in Bonn, Germany.

Under database you will find information about players who would like to go to College and University.

If you want to come to the camp to scout the players, there is the possibility to help coaching the teams over the weekend. If that is interesting to you, we will be more than happy to pay for your hotel and your meals.
